Whilst in Malta I visited my friends the Baldacchino's who have a pigeon loft with lots of prize-wining racing pigeons. I am fascinated by how these birds who, in this case, often get dropped in Italy and manage to find their way home to a tiny little loft in the middle of a tiny little village somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea. Here are a few images of their prized pigeons that I managed to grab in a quick visit to the loft. I am not sure what makes one pigeon look better than another, but if you are into pigeons you should enjoy this lot.

Polly, these are marvelous! And up until this minute I never gave much
ReplyDeletethought to pigeons as objects of beauty.
These really work on the neutral background away from the chattering noise/smell/movement of the pigeon loft. They all look like winners. x
ReplyDeleteThank you Toby - I think they look very fine. Rose, I definitely think it was the best option :)
ReplyDeleteOooooh very nice lady!
ReplyDeleteAre they real? Were they easy to shoot?x
